A simplified teaching model of a generic 10 m creel boat – not an assessment of any real vessel.
HARBOUR MARK REACHED
PROPELLER FOULED
With a rope round the propeller she has no drive and is lying to her own gear. In reality the fleet can hold the stern down in a sea, and someone has to go over the side or the boat needs a tow. Keep the rope out on the starboard side and clear of the stern, and take her out of gear whenever the rope or the buoy comes near the propeller.
Plotter – track and gear
Try it on your phone
Scan with a phone's camera to open Live Attitude: tilt the phone and the creel boat follows. It uses the phone's own motion sensors, with no app to download.
